Arthur Krieger

I am a Ph.D candidate in Philosophy at Temple University (Philadelphia, PA, USA), and an award-winning humanities instructor and researcher.

My teaching competencies span widely across value theory. This includes ethics, social and political philosophy, and philosophy of art and aesthetics. I can confidently cover ancient, modern, and 20th-21st century sources.

My dissertation is about agency in addiction, especially the varieties and ethically pertinent features of addictive behaviors (e.g. motive, kinds and degrees of control). My doctoral research is supervised by Professor Eugene Chislenko.

Broader research and teaching interests include: philosophy of action and agency; philosophical psychology; normative ethics and bioethics; metaethics; and philosophy of medicine and psychiatry. Of particular interest are the ethical and practical values of imagination and un/imaginability.
